Problem
During the finishing of the new valve housing an error was made which resulted in the fit being out of tolerance. Flame spraying proved to be the only authorised method of repair. Alternative was to create a new component.
Repair was financially, and in terms of planning, favourable.

Solution
Revamo recovered the fitting using flame spraying and boring. Obviously, the choice of coating has been adapted to the medium with which it comes in contact. A penetrant crack test was performed on the coating.

Dimensional recovery
Every type of wear requires dimensional recovery. Dimensional recovery is also required when a design or machining error...
