Problem
This plunger closes off a reaction vessel containing a highly abrasive medium. When opening the shut-off valve the medium travels through the valve at high speed. The standard hard chrome layer cannot withstand these conditions.
-
Solution
Revamo applied a tungsten carbide layer to the plunger and ground and polished it.
The lifespan of the plunger has increased enormously.
The plungers are now also completely manufactured by Revamo. -
