Problem
The sliding bearing fits of the hub section are radially and axially worn out. In these fits the adjustable propellers are mounted. OEM Wärtsila Propulsion has ordered Revamo to repair the hub according to 3.2. Wartsila / Revamo are both approved for repair these parts by Lloyds and DNV-GL.

Solution
After a comprehensive entrance check on size and material quality, the hub has been repaired using lasercladding. 3D measurement between the operations showed that no deformation due heat input has occurred. The two parts fit seamlessly and are fluid-tight.
